We have been busy!\u00a0 We\u00a0were\u00a0in downtown Toronto hoisting 26 of our large Hornbeam Trees up 66 floors to the top of the new (under construction) Shangri-La Hotel.\u00a0 That was scary going up the side of the building in\u00a0the construction elevator!\u00a0 The trees weren’t scared though!\u00a0 They came up via the fastest crane that I have seen yet.\u00a0 These trees will have the pleasure of growing right along side a view of the CN Tower.\u00a0But almost beside the top of it. \u00a0The Globe and Mail were there to take pictures check it out on their website – “The best pictures in the last 24 hours”.\u00a0 As well as the pictures below!\u00a0 We had a new load of Norway Spruce and White Pine come in – nice big specimens.\u00a0 Talk about instant garden!\u00a0 There are some pictures listed below of the installation – and I hope to get back on site today to view the finished landscape.\u00a0 But from the pictures you can see the effect of providing and instant screen.\u00a0 We will be\u00a0starting to receive our shipments from the west coast where they have experienced alot of rain – so the product is looking extremely lush and green, it shall be arriving next week.\u00a0 Some of our unique perennial selections and ground covers\u00a0will be starting to arrive today and within the next couple of days.\u00a0 I will keep\u00a0you updated with photos as they come in.\u00a0 On a personal note – I have a pet peeve.\u00a0 If you live in suburbia as I do – you know that backyards can be in close proximity.\u00a0 And of course you can’t pick your neighbours.\u00a0 I like our neighbours – they are nice people.\u00a0 But we like to entertain on our deck in the yard.\u00a0 And when you come out our back doors to go onto the deck\u00a0you get the a glimpse of our neighbours yard.\u00a0 They have planted a toilet.\u00a0 Yes people – a toilet.\u00a0 A real toilet.\u00a0 With plants coming out if it.\u00a0 Let’s just say – I am not amused.\u00a0 Please don’t think about this idea as a\u00a0landscape feature –\u00a0it is not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
